Mix together the butter/marg, sugar and golden syrup.
Add a couple of drops of vanilla essence, all the choc-chips and the egg.
Stir in the flour to make a firm dough.
Onto greased baking sheets, arrange small dollops of the mixture, allowing room for spreading, and press them down with the back of a wooden spoon.
Bake for about 20 minutes in or near the centre of a pre-heated oven – 180C/350F (Gas Mark 4).
Remove and leave to cool on the baking sheets, before munching.
Tips
Go wild and add extra chocolate chips or walnuts or any other yummy bits and bobs.
